MOVING YOUR CHARACTER
Each character on the screen can be easily controlled by clicking and dragging on any red dot. These dots are located at joints within the characters figure. The center dot will move the whole figure and the first dot located on the arms and legs will move the whole limb. The dots of the hand and feet will control the finer movements of the limb.
Adjust your characters pose so that he looks like he is running.
After each small move, click NEXT FRAME.
You will notice that when you move your character, a gray shadow is left behind. This allows you to see where your character was before you moved him.
ADDING A BACKGROUND
To add a background to your animation do the following.
Click OPTIONS and set the background size to a size that works for your animation.
Find a image on the internet of a suitable background. Save this background to your work space.
Open this image in IRFAN VIEW and resize it to be the same size as your animation using the RESIZE option found under the IMAGE menu. Now resave it as a .JPG
To load this background into your PIVOT animation select LOAD BACKGROUND from the FILE menu.
ADDING SECONDARY CHARACTERS
You are free to add more than one character to your stick figure animation. To add a second characters choose LOAD FIGURE TYPE from the file menu. Choose the character you want to use then click OPEN. This will allow you to then select the desired character from the ADD FIGURE pull down menu. This will add the new character to the last cell in the current animation.
ADDING A CUSTOM CHARACTERS
You are free to create and add your own characters and objects in PIVOT. To do this select CREATE FIGURE TYPE from the FILE menu. A STICK FIGURE BUILDER window like the one below will appear.
After your figure has been created you can save it to use later or add it to your animation immeadiately by using the commands under the FILE menu
